Scrapbook Journaling To Open Your Heart

Scrapbook Crops

Scrapbooking journaling is yet another exciting innovation to this loved hobby of compiling memories. By using words to express your feelings your scrapbook becomes more personal and it gives others an idea of how you feel. It is another means to reach out and share.

However, different people have different ways to open up and share their thoughts. In fact some have difficulty sharing at all. This activity is a great way to express your self without the pressure of divulging anything beyond what you want others to know. It is a non-threatening activity that puts the spotlight on the most significant part of your life…and that’s you. Getting started on the other hand may be difficult. To jumpstart your writing and documenting activity, here are some suggestions on what you can focus on.

This activity is about documenting your thoughts, feelings and of course memories. Any thought you want to focus on will work. Not just the big ones, but even the small, seemingly obscure ones can be your focus. Start out with what you are comfortable sharing with others. Perhaps a special event, perhaps an idea that you have or it can be a comment or reaction about certain things. Share what you want to share. From friends and family, to politics and religion, to happy thought or sad ones, to work and play, to sports and hobbies, this activity is all about you. You can even start with the idea that you don’t have an idea.

Once you have decided what you want, scarbooking journaling becomes easier. Keepsakes, snapshots, mementos and other items associated with it will help you assemble your project. Give some space for your thoughts beside the items that you have. It doesn’t have to be a long discourse. There are many techniques you can use to share your feelings. You may not be comfortable at this time so you can just begin by writing down your thoughts. Enumerating what’s on your mind is an efficient way to get every detail covered. Additionally, you may want to try including poetry or songs that capture your way of thinking and your beliefs. Likewise, you can place quotations that sum up the experiences that you have. It is surprising how people can react to these when you place it in your project. The people that look at your scrapbook will have a certain connections with the poems, songs and quotes that you choose for your scrapbook. This will undoubtedly draw them to understand or at least know you better. In addition, you can put embellishments or images that will reinforce or clarify your ideas.

Whether you’re doing this online or otherwise, the only rule you have to remember is to speak straight from your heart.
